So Disney's thinking of removing all of its movies and shows from Netflix all so they can have them on their Own streaming service.
Yeah, that's dumb. We've seen them drop the Paramount Logo from their movies a few years ago.
We have CBS attempting utilize Star Trek as a Flag show for their streaming service, Disney's trying to follow suit? I'm sorry but I can't keep dropping money to watch Special Shows on Networks. I understand so many are wanting to jump to the Cutting the Cord, but just like the Dot Com/Comic Book bubbles in the 90o's and the Housing Market one earlier in the 2ooo's, people are going to say "Screw You", and they're going to decide.
On top of all this, the House of Mouse may also consider dropping Marvel from book shelves.
Disney having bought the Comic Book company back in o9.
While the Printed spectrum of comics is slowly declining and making way for the digital, plus most comics costing upwards of $2-$3, it's somewhat understandable why the common public would rather not pay for something that once went from 5 cents-75 cents when myself, parents and grandparents were growing up.
Yes Marvel may be the one to knock off the proverbial hill when it comes to comic publications. But sadly with recent sales of their Diversity-esk lines of Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man etc., their profits have been dipping. And Disney May have to make a decision that's not fun.
Either step in and tell the House that Lee & Kurby built to shape up, or they'll have to go All Digital to save some Mo-Nay.
Back in 2o16 the industry itself only made $1 "B"illion.
If things keep going, we may be the generation that the Printed comic of Marvel sees an Epitaph.
